Our room dividers arrive with pre-drilled slats and the required floor-and-ceiling hardware, including spring-loaded components that secure each slat while still allowing independent rotation and later removal. Real hardwood veneer is stained and pre-finished, with American Walnut, European Oak, Golden Oak, and Black Oak finishes available. The system can also be removed and reinstalled if your layout changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the slats all rotate together, or individually?

Each slat is installed independently and rotates individually. This allows for easier installation and full control over privacy and visibility.

Can the slats be fixed in place during installation?

Yes, to fix the slats in one position permanently we recommend adding a dab of adhesive into the floor plates before putting the slats in place, and setting in your desired position.

What are the slats made from? Are they real wood or laminate?
Each slat features a real hardwood surface in American Walnut, European Oak, Golden Oak, or Black Oak. All four sides are wrapped in 1mm thick natural veneer over a high-density MDF core. This offers the visual and tactile quality of solid wood without the risk of warping or cracking.

Can the slats be cut to size?
Yes. Slats can be trimmed using a mitre or circular saw with a standard wood blade. The hardware holes are drilled 4 cm deep and require 2.6 cm of depth, so if you cut more than 1.4 cm from either end, you’ll need to re-drill the holes using a 7/16" bit.

We recommend using Gorilla Tape to tape the ends before cutting for the cleanest cut.

Do you offer custom cutting or custom sizes?
We don’t currently offer cutting services or custom-length slats.

How does the installation hardware work?
Each kit includes spring-loaded pins, threaded bolts, and ceiling/floor plates. The pins compress and expand into the ceiling plates, while the bolts twist into the floor plates. This creates stable, top-and-bottom tension to hold each slat securely in place, while still allowing rotation.

To remove the slats, you can lift the slats upwards, compressing the spring-loaded pin on top, to release the bottom pin from its plate and remove the slats.

Can I purchase the hardware separately?
Due to limited inventory, the hardware is only available when purchased with the slats. The hardware is included with the purchase of the slats and added to your cart automatically.

Can the slats be painted or stained?
Each slat is sanded and pre-finished with a satin lacquer. Painting or staining will have varied results and is not advised.

How is the room divider shipped?

Orders of 1-3 boxes of the 8' lengths typically ship via parcel mail without any signature required. Larger orders, and all orders of the 9' lengths ship via LTL with curbside delivery and signature required. The Hardware Kits ship separately via parcel mail.
